VISUAL COMMUNICATION DESIGNER

Visual Designer
& MA Candidate at Central Saint Martins

My practice sits at the intersection of systematic rigour and creative experimentation. With a background spanning high-growth tech (Shopee) and independent direction across Korea and Singapore, I specialize in building scalable brand systems and visual narratives that work across borders.

Currently exploring how culture, craft, and code can challenge standardized design.

CREATIVE PORTFOLIOMAUM

MAUM

MAUM is a curated design kit that articulates the unique birthday culture of Korea, characterized by visual patterns derived from the eaves of traditional Korean architecture. The project title, MAUM (마음), signifies "mind" or "heart," drawing directly from the cultural idiom "마음을 담아 전하다"—translated as "to send or serve our hearts" in gratitude.

Recognizing that birthdays are not merely a celebration of birth but a pivotal moment to demonstrate appreciation, this kit facilitates an immersive cultural experience. It provides a tangible medium for users to convey sincere messages and gifts to loved ones, embodying the true spirit of "serving one's heart."
