Visual Communication Designer
A Graphic Communication Design master’s student at Central Saint Martins (UAL), with freelance experience in Korea and Singapore. My work combines visual storytelling and cross-cultural perspectives, driven by a passion for exploring diverse media. The surname Won (원) means “the best” and “circle” in Korean, symbolizing continuity, which reflects my evolving approach to design.

MAUM is a thoughtfully designed kit that shares the unique birthday culture of Korea, featuring patterns inspired by the eaves of traditional Korean architecture. Through the MAUM kit, you can send heartfelt messages to your loved ones while offering them an immersive experience of Korean culture.
The name MAUM (마음) means "mind" or "heart" in Korean. In Korea, the phrase "마음을 담아 전하다," which translates to “to send or serve our hearts,” is often used to express gratitude. While birthdays mark an individual’s birth, they are also meaningful moments to show appreciation through sincere messages and gifts.

#4 TOKI (RSA Student Design Awards 2022 - Commended Entry)
Brief 6: How might we support all families, carers, and communities to play and learn more creatively at home?
In Singapore, one of the world’s most expensive cities, low-income parents often lack the time, space, and resources to provide enriching play and learning at home—leading to developmental and educational inequality.
TOKI is a service and product design proposal that teaches and supports parents with resources to play and learn more creatively with their children.

#5 Fishbone Font
Being comfortable with creating and experimenting with letterforms significantly expands a graphic designer’s visual and conceptual toolkit. In this project, I explored constructing letterforms without specialized tools, using everyday objects as improvised stencils. Through iterative experimentation with a fishbone hair braider, the aim was to discover and build playful, unconventional letterforms through a process of exploration and spontaneity.
